Fairest - Gail Carson Levine This is a pretty good book, but I can't help saying it's not as good as Ella Enchanted though it's written in the same style and about a similar world. The characters are very likeable and their physical faults make them even more so because they have great personalities. The story itself has a great message to teach children about what true beauty really is so I think its a valuable read for young children (probably 13 year olds because they are just entering puberty and are starting to go through an awkward faze where they feel uncomfortable in their own skin).
