This book is really awesome and mind blowing. It's about a future society which burns books and promotes a life watching television. It's a totalitarian society where the people who read and hide books in their home are punished for their crime and where suicide attempts are very common even though the people who live in this society believe their life has meaning and is quite enjoyable. The main character is a "firefighter", but the firefighters in this book are basically fire starters who are sent to homes which may have books and they burn the books. I love this book, it's really exciting and fast to read. It was also a very controversial book during it's time which makes the reading experience all the more interesting if you are into the "history behind the book" sort of thing.
